Top 12 Reasons Why You Should Follow Your Dreams

follow your dreams, reasons to follow your dreams

Dreams! We do talk a lot about them. After all, we all are dreamers.

You too have always loved watching and cherishing them and you’ve always wished if you could accomplish most of them.

But, the reality is; many of you are just wishing to accomplish them, not doing anything.

Sadly, on the whole, only 10% people actually pursue their dreams, people who really want to live the life they have always dreamed off.

You know why?

Because they live their lives with one mindset, and that is;

We’ve only one life, one single shot! If we didn’t play it well then what’s the point?

They know exactly what they are doing and they have a very strong belief that somehow after the long journey of struggle, they are definitely going to make it!

Wait! What about the rest 90%?

I’m sorry to say, but those kind of people never want to grow actually, they don’t want to come out of their comfort zone and the thing is they are happy, where they are today.

Those kind of people often says, “Life squeeze in, Bills piles up and now we can’t take that risk therefore we have to do the same ordinary job to make it through the day.”

The things you own, ended up owning you. -Tyler Durden, Fight Club

I wonder how people are able to do the things which they don’t even love to do?

They are just passing their life in a hope that someday their life will change but unfortunately it won’t be, you have to chase down your passion to live a life of your dreams.

If you keep all your stupid reasons aside then only I’ll will give you the top 10 reasons why you should follow your dreams, these are the reasons to compel you, to motivate you to stop making excuses and start following your dreams.

You Ready? Okay here we go:

1. Because you’ve always WANTED to do this.

You know, dreams are the blueprint of our real success.

You have a clear picture in your mind, what you want to do with your life but you aren’t actually doing it.

There is something that is stopping you from getting things done…I don’t know, whatever it is…you’re going to pull yourself from doing those useless things and start doing what really wanted to do.

2. Because you hate staying up for An EXTRA hour.

Do you really like staying up late in the office? Or is it just because your boss says so?

You don’t want to spend even an extra hour from your regular 9-5 job.

Why is that so?

Because this is not who you are, you’re freaking somebody else. If you had pursued your dreams, this won’t be happening to you!

You will always find leisure in doing the things what you love. If you start following your dreams then you will find that work won’t be work any longer.

3. Because you want to write your own Success Story.

The secret of living is giving, if you’ve ever done something worthy in your life then only you can share it with other people.

Which stories are you going tell your grandchildren?

Will you still be narrating the success stories of Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg or any other star?

Wait, I’ve one better option for you.

Make yours one, follow your dreams, pursue your passion and inspire others .

The point?

If you follow your dreams, you will have something to share with others, hope, inspiration and a meaning to live and that to me, itself is a success story.

4. Because you have to prove those NAYSAYERS wrong.

In life, if you ever try to do something different from your ordinary routine or even dared to talk about your dreams then you will automatically find yourself surrounded by people who will de-motivate you or will try to suppress your thoughts.

Never let that happen. Never give up on your intuition as somehow they already know what you truly wanted to become.

Rather consider them your driving force; you have to prove those naysayers wrong.

If those kinds of people aren’t present in your life, it means you’re not anything wonderful things because:

If people don’t laugh at your dreams, your dreams are too small.

5. Because you want to live a regret free life.

You know, regret is a terrible thing.

And if you won’t make your own decisions then you’re going to regret for your whole life.

If you want to get spared by the “What if” syndrome better start doing what you love. Because it will be your decision and you will be have no regrets of taking it.

Don’t get carried away by the decisions of anybody, as you will be living the consequences of the decisions which you will take right now.

6. Because Passion is Everything.

You know the major reason behind people quitting their jobs?

It’s because of passion. They have passion in something else.

It’s quite interesting to see that:

There are people who are willing to work 80 hours a week to avoid working the job they hate of 40 hours a week.

Guess who they? Yep, you’re right.

These are only passionate people.

I know, you too are passionate about something but right now, you aren’t capitalizing on it. Start working on it because passion is the single fastest way to spur your life.

7. You will realize the Incredible things you are capable of doing.

When you step forward to pursue your dreams, the journey is not going to be a piece of cake for you.

You will be tested many a times. You will be depressed and you will make your mind to give up.

You will face many challenges that you never could have anticipated and at that time the best will come out of you.

There will be nothing to stop you. You will shock yourself at your abilities while grinding through the situations.

8. Because you have Greatness within you.

My favorite and one of the motivational speaker in the world, Les Brown, always says, “You are special, you have greatness within you.”

So I’m passing his words to you, you are really special.

You can achieve anything you want in your life, all those dreams will come true if you do believe that you have special capabilities present within you.

Do you remember what Muhammad Ali says before his every fight?

I’m the champion, I’m the Best! You’re the Champ, just believe in yourself.

9. You will realize that you are Unstoppable.

When you start pursuing your dreams, at one point of time, you will become unstoppable.

You will overcome all your fears, no matter how worse the situation gets, there will be nothing that can come between you and your dreams.

I must say, at that moment, you will become addicted and that addiction will be of success.

10. Your food will taste better than anybody else.

When you do the things you love, you become more alive and you will appreciate all the beauty life has to offer.

When you are doing what you love then you’ll be lot happier than ever before, you will feel a distinct change in yourself and in your life. Life without dreams is depressing, and with the dreams, it’s beautiful and amazing.

Remember in Fight Club movie, When Tyler Durden points a gun to Man’s head?

Tomorrow will be the most beautiful day in Raymond K. Hessel’s life. His breakfast will taste better than any meal you and I have ever tasted.

And he further added;

Pretend to be a doctor and tell people they have six months to live watch them fulfill their dreams.

11. It will make you and your PARENTS proud.

If you’ve worked hard and achieved all your desires, you parents will have not have any reason not to be proud of you.

And eventually you will be proud of yourself, your confidence will be higher and you will enjoy the every single day of your life.

This will only happen by doing something what you’ve always wanted to do.

 12. Life is SHORT, You only Live ONCE.

Our Live is short, so why wasting it living someone else life?

Our days are numbered, so let us makes the days count. Make sure you play this one shot regret free..

The Bottom Line

Okay, you are quite inspired now. And you’ve got hell lot of reasons.

Now after reading this post, what you’re going to do?

Will you consider those reasons, you just read? Or you will be back in your same ordinary life?

If you’re going to move out and you’re going to do some damage than it’s really awesome and if not you’ve again wasted your 10 minutes of life. Because this post wasn’t for losers.

If you really want to change something? Okay then you have to promise me.

Promise me that you will try to jump out of your comfort zone and you will start doing the things that you really wanted to do.

I’m not saying you to quit your job right now, but I’m saying start taking little steps towards it.

I’m just asking you to give it a try.

If you promise me, then your tomorrow’s breakfast gonna be really tastier than me. If you really do promise, then comment below and confess it.

  • hello, Vishnu Verma,
very nice site you have made,I admire your effort and I too will find my passion and pursue it.Jatin Motavar

  • Very inspirational post Vishnu. Iove #4 the best of the reasons you have given to follow our dreams. I will prove all my naysayers wrong.

Like Martin Luther King Jr. I am constantly saying that I have a dream. And when I do that I am calling out what my dream is because I believe one day it will come to pass.

Believing in yourself is a powerful thing! Engaging in positive self talk is also extremely helpful in building self confidence.

    Thanks for sharing.

    • Hi Yvonne,
I’m glad that you liked the post.
Yeah we have to prove all those naysayers wrong who keep on poking there nose in our work.
I think those kind of people are the best driving force one can find.
These all the reasons that I’ve compiled are actually my reasons to start Calling Dreams 😀
Thank you for your insightful comment dear 🙂

  • Hi Vishnu,

I agree with Yvonne – inspirational post indeed, and a great start to a new week 🙂

You are SO right in all that you’ve written – you need to follow your dreams and make a life for yourself. I could so well relate to all your mentioned points, and yes, each one says the right thing.

People will stop you or pull you down, but if your dreams are what you want to pursue and your goals are clear – nothing can really stop you. It’s like the Law of Attraction that starts working in your favor, once you plan that tiny seed of your dream in your mind and start working on it – all the forces of the Universe WILL make it happen for you, provided you believe, isn’t it?

I agree, you ONLY live once, so better make your life worth living, and you CAN do it, just keep the faith.

Thanks for sharing, and I’d surely be sharing your post all over too to motivate more people. Have a nice week ahead 🙂

  • Hi Vishnu,

You have written an amazing article for the motivation.
I live the way you have mentioned that we have only one life. I have seen many people who live like they don’t want anything and just passing their time.

I mean live is beautiful and if you dream about anything then it would be great to follow them. It doesn’t matter whether you get success to fulfill your dreams or not.

You will regret if you don’t do what you want to do. Write about you and have confidence.

Thanks for sharing this article with us.

    Have a wonderful day.:)

I want to help others to not settle for what they see in front of themselves yet pursue what can be… A path of clarity to go forward in this is opening up and it’s a strong pull out of mediocrity/comfort zone to a almost frightening yet exciting next step for me… And also for others. I’m excited I’m moving forward
